Frequently asked questions.
How does billing work?
There is no additional charge for using MCP. Google and YouTube data queries use your account's shared Credits balance at your plan's rates. Each query in a batch is billed separately. Downloads are billed by actual uploaded bytes. Checking your balance, pricing, limits and usage, or retrieving existing results, is free. One prompt may trigger several paid calls.
View pricingDo I need a separate connection for each product?
No. Connect FlashData once and use any of the tools your API key has permission to access. You can use Google Search, YouTube Data or YouTube Download independently.
Where do downloaded files go?
Downloads are delivered to your own configured cloud storage. Your assistant submits the task and checks its status until the upload is complete. File access and retention follow your storage settings; a private object location is not a public download link.
Set up your storageWhy can't my assistant see a tool?
Check that your API key is active and has access to the data source you want to use. Reconnect your client after updating the key's permissions.
What should I do if a query times out?
The query may still be running or may have completed. Check its status in Request History in the console before asking your assistant to submit it again, as a new query may incur another charge. Checking the status and retrieving available results are free.
View request historyWhy is a transcript unavailable?
Transcripts depend on the captions available for each YouTube video. A video may have no captions or none in the language you requested. Ask your assistant to check for another available language or try a different video.
